THE RAMGOOLAM-LALLAH FAMILY BOND
A Bond Forged in Struggle, Service and Nation-Building
Ramlall Ramgoolam – The Unsung Hero of 1926
1926 – The Campaign That Changed History
The historic electoral breakthrough of 1926 was not achieved by speeches alone. It was shaped by courage, organisation, and personal sacrifice on the ground. At the centre of this effort stood Ramlall Ramgoolam, brother of Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam, whose tireless work proved decisive in one of the most significant political moments in Mauritian history.
This story represents three pioneering families - Lallah, Ramgoolam and Gujadhur - united across generations by courage, sacrifice, and service to the Mauritian nation.
